DON TAYLOR FOR MINNESOTA STATE REPRESENTATIVE

Don Taylor grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from West High School where he was co-captain of the wrestling team.

Don Taylors is married to the former Jean Benson. Don and Jean are parents to nine children; Natalie (Jeremy Klein), Chris, Briana (Nick Klecker), Steve, Sam, Tim, James, Jon, and Daniel.

Don and Jean are grandparents to three: Joe Klecker, Sophia Klein, and Kady Klecker.

Don has owned Taylor Remodeling, Inc. for 16 years.

Don is the mayor of Chisago City, Minnesota.

Don also serves on: East Central Regional Development Commission Chisago, County Public Interest, Chair and Founder of Citizens Against Hostile Annexation

Don organized “Chisago County Mayors” to address the issues facing cities in Chisago County.

Don attended two educational conferences for elected officials in 2005. He attended “Everyday Ethics for Minnesota Public Officials” in 2008. These conferences were offered by the League of Minnesota Cities.

Don has always been an active church member. Don’s family joined Maranatha Church in 2007. Don’s former involvement includes: Adult Sunday School Teacher, 18 years Elder, Youth Group Leader, Men’s Ministry Leader, Missionary to Mexico, 2 years.

Don is an active community leader Chisago Lakes Grief Support Coalition Growing Through Loss, Speaker and Facilitator,7 years.

Don is a proud Soccer Dad.

Don is an avid hunter and fisherman. Don enjoys hunting and fishing with his kids.
